CEDIGAZ’s 2025 assessment of the global hydrogen market highlights steady policy support and growing investment, yet low-emission hydrogen still represents less than 2% of global demand. Most projects focus on blue hydrogen in North America, while green hydrogen lags due to high costs and slow development. Electrolysis capacity reached 1.4 GW by end-2024. Although 38 Mt of production is theoretically possible by 2030, only 4.3 Mt is under construction. Demand remains concentrated in refining and chemicals. Meeting 2030 targets requires faster project execution, stronger international cooperation, and viable business models to scale up supply and enable a global hydrogen market....
